    3.     Responsible for identifying potential risk areas within area of responsibility and for supporting the problem resolution process.

    4.     Responsible for maintaining records of compliance activities and reporting compliance activities to the Compliance Office.

    5.     Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to supervisor or Compliance Office.

    6.     Provides excellent service routinely in interactions with all customers, i.e. coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, etc.

    Position Summary

    Participate in the design, vendor selection and implementation of a competitive Benefits programs for MBUSA and covered affiliates. This includes Health and welfare (medical, dental, vision), retirement planning (401k, retiree medical and pension), and disabilities (STD, LTD, Worker's comp). Ensure the benefits programs meet the needs of our employees in order to attract and retain the best employees in the industry. Ensure the proper administration and interpretation of the Company’s Benefit and Health Management Programs directly or through third-party administrators for active employees and retirees. Supervisory duties include:

    • Supervision of the Benefits Coordinators and external vendors and/or agencies, etc.

    Responsibilities

    Manage projects and perform and/or supervise internal and external market competitive analysis for various executive compensation projects, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term incentives. Assist with or manage the design and implementation of various compensation programs and assess the prevalence of these programs within diverse industries. Assist with or manage analyses of compensation programs in mergers and acquisitions, and analyze salaried jobs within client peer groups. Assist in providing technical advisory services relative to tax, accounting, regulatory and governance matters.

     

    Help to grow and sustain ongoing client relationships. Coordinate staffing and fulfillment on projects, including assisting with staffing projects on a national basis through our compensation knowledge network. Supervise and provide leadership to staff. Initiate and participate in business development/marketing activities.

     

    Assist in developing the EY thought leadership culture (i.e., assisting with the development of standard methodologies and sharing best practices).


    To qualify, candidates must have:

    • a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
    • a degree in accounting, business, finance, human resources, or related field (MBA, Master’s of Tax, or JD a plus)
    • executive compensation experience, preferably in a professional services environment
    • prior compensation consulting experience
    • strong quantitative and qualitative skills and analytical acumen
    • excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • computer proficiency

    The Compensation and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the  company’s benefits and compensation programs and processes.

     

    Benefits Support

    • Assists in administering and communicating the company's benefits programs including Health & Welfare, Life, Disability, Leave, and Retirement Plans for US, Canada, and Puerto Rico populations.
    • Assists in the communication of plan options, policy features and eligibility requirements to employees.
    • Administer new hire enrollment and escalates complex issues to Manager.
    • Assist in the implementation and rollout of new benefits programs.
    • Assists in Leave of Absence administration, tracking and reporting.
    • Assists in Worker’s Comp administration
    • Timely response to all employee inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.

     

    Compensation Support

    • Assist in the preparation and delivery of periodic compensation payments and annual reporting.
    • Assist in the preparation and activities involving Annual Merit Review, and Incentive Plans.
    • Assists in the maintenance and  payment of quarterly bonus reviews.
    • Participate in salary surveys and analyze/prepare salary reports.

     

    Reporting/HRIS Support

    • Provide technical support for HRIS and be responsible for interface processing.
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining benefits and compensation internal and external reports.
    • Maintain reporting database.
    • Assist with reporting for federal programs such as ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.

     General Support

    • Assist in various research requests, including timely responses to audit inquiries.
    • Assist in developing and preparing letters, spreadsheets, and presentations.
    • Completes benefits billing and reconciles monthly benefit invoices and conduct periodic audits.
    • Monitors benefit trends in the marketplace and stay up-to-date on applicable benefits legislation.
    • Support various other projects as needed.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree and  2 - 4 years’ experience in Comp and Benefits Administration
    • Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and group benefits, including FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA
    • Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and vendors
    • Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Demonstration of sensitivity and understanding in dealing with employee issues
