We’re seeking a technically savvy equity guru to manage the global equity programs for this multi-national corporation.

This person will be responsible for all equity data record keeping, spanning across stock options, restricted stock, performance share units, and the deferred compensation program.  This is a high profile role within the company, that will ensure all participant’s equity transactions are correctly processed and settled in a timely manner.

This person will work closely with key stakeholders in Legal, Finance, HR, Payroll, Data Processing and Tax teams to address issues or changes in the equity plans and related administration processes.

Key to the role will be your application of knowledge of equity policies to manage plans and program performance; and to ensure adherence to Federal, State and Local legislation, adherence to internal and external audits, SOX compliance, and company policies – all with a view to minimize financial risk to executives and to the Company. You will:

  • be a whizz at reports, providing timely and accurate data to support all audit and regulatory needs.  Additionally you’ll need to manage all vendor relationships with the equity administration system providers.
  • take pride in ensuring efficient processes and thinking about industry trends; all with a view to your creation of innovative process improvements, to improve operating efficiencies while meeting annual performance metrics.
  • be known as an inspirational leader, able to influence equity managers in the administration of Global Equity programs and policy and legislation adherence; and able to develop and support your direct and indirect team reports in shared service centers around the world.
  • have an international mindset – able to stretch your skills and experience to support participants who are affected by global and local regulation changes; and communicate solutions to those people around the world, and find solutions for taxation compliance.
  • oversee the Performance Share Unit dividend payments and will manage the Deferred Compensation Program; program guidelines, participant enrollment and issue escalations.

As well as managing all equity resources on a day to day project, you will take the lead on an assortment of projects, inclusive of monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting, the preparation of annual Proxy meeting exhibits and the ongoing integrity and synchronization of global data in all equity and HRIS systems and the on-line benefits service.

Finally, as the subject matter expert you’ll have accountability for the confidentiality of information management, maintenance of a Business Continuity plan, and the go-to person for any escalated queries pertaining to equity matters.

This is a high profile role in a company with a portfolio of products that have instantly recognisable household brands.  Promotion opportunities are excellent, as are the opportunities to broaden a career through the C&B function or HR functions, domestically and abroad.

The company culture is one that is open to new ideas, known for innovation, and being quick to reward really bright and ambitious professionals.

Whilst spanning across all US jurisdictions, as well as international markets, this particular role will be based from the company’s Atlanta offices.  Paying circa USD 130,000 base plus package, we’d love to hear from you if you:

  • are passionate about continuing to innovate within equity administration and management (this is not a “business as usual” role!)
  • are ambitious and hungry to add to your knowledge and skills and experience (this is not a “business as usual” role!)
  • are a credible and “grounded” professional who is comfortable dealing with international execs at board level (you’ll be working with many “big cheeses”, and working across big numbers!)
  • have written and verbal presentation skills that are top notch (you’re need to “wow em”)
  • are the kind of clever spark who has the savvy to successfully influence and navigate across complex, corporate matrix environments (so many countries, so many stakeholders, so many balls to juggle)

You may be currently working within a consultancy firm and wanting to make a great career move to a challenging and varied in-house role.  Or you may have already commenced carving out an in-house career within an equity administration or exec comp function.

We’re very happy to elaborate with further details to interested professionals.   You can make contact with us directly via solutions@cartermorris.com

We promise to respond to your queries within 24 working hours!
