The Compensation and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the  company’s benefits and compensation programs and processes.

 

Benefits Support

  • Assists in administering and communicating the company's benefits programs including Health & Welfare, Life, Disability, Leave, and Retirement Plans for US, Canada, and Puerto Rico populations.
  • Assists in the communication of plan options, policy features and eligibility requirements to employees.
  • Administer new hire enrollment and escalates complex issues to Manager.
  • Assist in the implementation and rollout of new benefits programs.
  • Assists in Leave of Absence administration, tracking and reporting.
  • Assists in Worker’s Comp administration
  • Timely response to all employee inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.

 

Compensation Support

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of periodic compensation payments and annual reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and activities involving Annual Merit Review, and Incentive Plans.
  • Assists in the maintenance and  payment of quarterly bonus reviews.
  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze/prepare salary reports.

 

Reporting/HRIS Support

  • Provide technical support for HRIS and be responsible for interface processing.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining benefits and compensation internal and external reports.
  • Maintain reporting database.
  • Assist with reporting for federal programs such as ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.

 General Support

  • Assist in various research requests, including timely responses to audit inquiries.
  • Assist in developing and preparing letters, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Completes benefits billing and reconciles monthly benefit invoices and conduct periodic audits.
  • Monitors benefit trends in the marketplace and stay up-to-date on applicable benefits legislation.
  • Support various other projects as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and  2 - 4 years’ experience in Comp and Benefits Administration
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and group benefits, including FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and vendors
  • Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstration of sensitivity and understanding in dealing with employee issues
