Sales Effectiveness Consultant

 

SalesGlobe is looking for an experienced analyst as a Sales Effectiveness Consultant to join our team and be an integral part of our fun, casual environment in our Sandy Springs/Roswell office. You'll focus on:

  • Supporting consulting projects including fact-finding, interviewing, analysis, evaluation, and solution development with the guidance of the directors, and other project workflow management activities.
  • Conducting data analysis on sales performance, sales compensation, sales data, and marketing data using both pre-determined analysis approaches, creative investigation and data mining with the guidance of the firm’s leadership team.
  • Assisting in interpreting findings from data and developing client reports. Includes supporting the directors with refining observations from research and developing recommendations made by the directors. 
  • Conducting cost modeling and scenario analysis for sales compensation designs to determine costs of sales, cost changes between current and proposed designs based on performance and other variables.
  • Developing tools for use in collecting and managing data for marketing and research purposes.
  • Creating and managing on-line surveys for clients or strategic research reports.
  • Actively participate in client meetings, internal discussions and strategy sessions.


This role is full-time and the work location is from our offices in Sandy Springs (Northridge exit, near Roswell). As part of this role, you will have regular client contact. Our clients are Fortune 1000 sales, marketing, and human resources executives across a range of industries.

For client work, you must be flexible and comfortable with some travel (up to 20%) to client locations across the United States.

Skills and Background Required:

  • Professional, executive-level presentation in-person and by phone. 
  • A passion to be part of an organization and a vision to develop new and innovative approaches to sales effectiveness for our clients.
  • Prior consulting experience or corporate financial, planning OR sales operations experience of at least 5 years. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement – only individuals with depth in analytics will be considered.
  • Strong to expert level proficiency in Excel (primary) and Access (secondary).  Ability to work with ease using large data files to combine, cross-reference, match, analyze and communicate information.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Word, equal to or secondary to Excel and Access.
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical analysis.  Expert knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work creatively with data to look at multiple angles and scenarios.  Ability to interpret findings relative to the project being conducted.
  • Ability to self-manage and work semi-independently with directors who travel and work at client locations. 
  • College degree required. Degree in business, finance or accounting, or similar areas is a plus.
  • Energetic and positive with a can-do attitude while having fun doing great work.

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Prior consulting experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in sales effectiveness (strategy, training, coverage, compensation) is preferred, although this is not a sales position.
  • Experience working with senior executives and mid-level executives in general management, sales management, marketing management, or human resources.

  • Compensation: Hourly compensation on a 1099 basis plus incentive pay. Individual is paid on a gross basis. Hourly pay based on skills and experience.
